using Snell's law

sin i / sin r = u

sin r = sin i / u

as u > 1, so value of (sin i / u) must be smaller than sin i

and hence angle corresponding to refraction "r" will be less than 'i' it mens that light bend towards the normal

so, the material medium is more dense than the medium from which the incident light projected and vice versa.

so

option ( b) false

option (c). false

option (d) false
