It's the science of collecting, exploring and presenting large amounts of data to discover underlying patterns and trends. Statistics are applied every day – in research, industry and government – to become more scientific about decisions that need to be made.

Statistics are the sets of mathematical equations that we used to analyze the things. It keeps us informed about, what is happening in the world around us. Statistics are important because today we live in the information world and much of this information's are determined mathematically by Statistics .

Statistical methods involved in carrying out a study include planning, designing, collecting data, analysing, drawing meaningful interpretation and reporting of the research findings. The statistical analysis gives meaning to the meaningless numbers, thereby breathing life into a lifeless data. The results and inferences are precise only if proper statistical tests are used. This article will try to acquaint the reader with the basic research tools that are utilised while conducting various studies. The article covers a brief outline of the variables, an understanding of quantitative and qualitative variables and the measures of central tendency. An idea of the sample size estimation, power analysis and the statistical errors is given. Finally, there is a summary of parametric and non-parametric tests used for data analysis.

A study appropriate for multivariate statistical analysis is typically defined as one with several dependent variables (DVs). The basic distinction between experimental and nonexperimental research designs is whether the levels of the independent variable(s) have been manipulated by the 3. 4. B5a. Explain why the data analysis technique you chose is an appropriate technique to analyze the data collected. My answer. Was advised needs revision. Any suggestions? The data analysis technique is appropriate because the game titles are the underlying relationship between the two retailers. The reason this technique is appropriate is that the paired sample T-test is commonly used to determine whether the mean of a group, in this instance, the cost of Playstation 4 games, is determined and assisting...
