If we increase the Phase Modulation index. It results to increase in the modulated signal's bandwidth.

Relationship between the modulation index and bandwidth

BW = 2 (b + 1 ) fm

Here BW is bandwidth, and b is modulation index.
So, as we can see in the formula, if b is increased then BW will also increase.
