Ans) The National Development Plan 2030 was constituted by President Jacon Zuma, it was first drafted in August 2012 by the South African government and the National Planning Commission. The Proposal aims at eradicating poverty and enriching the poor at large by 2030.
Minister Trevor Manuel stated in his speech at the launch of the NDP had stated that: “The plan is the product of thousands of inputs and perspectives of South Africans”. “It is a plan for a better future; a future in which no person lives in poverty, where no one goes hungry, where there is work for all, a nation united in the vision of our Constitution”.
