In this approach some third party vendor supplies the hardware and software required for application development for online users. The PaaS providers allows the user to use and install in-house hardware and software to develop applications as the hardware and software is hosted on the in-house infrastructure. It is simple and convenient.

2) Infrastructure as a service: infrastructure as a service or IaaS can be defined as a cloud computing technology which allows the virtualization of computer resources over the internet. In this approach the IaaS provider supplies the infrastructure components and the customers can access and use the products and services through WAN.
