Hi, I need help. I'm preparing for the exam. This equation is from the exam study guide.

Explain :

   - Where do earthquakes occur in the US?

   - Why is California at great risk?

   - Where else within the US has experienced earthquakes?

In the USA, most earthquakes take place in California and Alaska.

California is at a great risk of an earthquake because it rests on a transform fault type plate boundary where the horizontal movement between two plates can cause earthquake anytime.

Apart from the aforementioned states earthquakes in the United states have been reported from Idaho, Washington, Hawaii and Nevada.
