what network topology is when 2 windows computers , a small switch and two regular patch cables connected?
is it peer to peer or client-server model ?
Switch is a smart multi-port device, used to connect multiple computers building a network.
Now, multiple computers when connected to switch, it forms a star topology. where switch acts as a central hub that smartly transfers packets in the network. Failure of switch will disband the whole network.
Diagram:

Now when it comes to peer to peer or client server model, there is a major difference and that is,
In client server model, there is a central server which has all the data clients need and they access those data from that central server.
But, in peer to peer model, there is no central server. Devices connected in peer to peer acts as both client and server. Like, If a device sends a request it acts as a client and if a device is been requested to then it acts as a server.
So, in the question it says two windows computer are connected and as we know computers can acts as both client and server and also in switch connection there is no need of centralized server.
Hence, the above arrangement is a peer to peer model and Star topology.

You have been called in to consult for a company that is running 15 Windows 10 computers, two Linux computers, and three Mac OS X computers. Your boss wants all of these computers to be able to share files. a. What file sharing protocol do you recommend and why? b. Should you configure this network as a peer-to-peer network or as a client/server network? Explain your answer.

Drawing Tool: Visio Create a network diagram that illustrates a LAN that supports ten clients in a client server environment with a server running Windows Server 2016. The network uses a switch and a router, and networked printer. If Visio is not available on your computer, use creately. Link provided below. https://creately.com/lp/network-diagram-software-online Network Diagram should be clearly labeled 1. Diagram. 2. What is a peer-to-peer network? How does it differ from a client-server?
A. Multilayer switch An encrypted tunnel across an unsecured infrastructure. B. Broadcast domain A piece of software or a non-inline device that detects suspicious activity, logs the action, sends an alert, and can even notify another device to take corrective action. C. PuITY A switch that operates at both Layer 2 and Layer 3 of the OSI model.D. Client/server A group of computers that receive each other's broadcast messages.E. Peer-to-peer A VPN protocol that has clients connect to the VPN server using a standard messages...
You have a customer who has asked you to create a small network of three Windows XP computers for his home office. All of the computers will need to have their network addressing information configured manually. Of the following, what addressing information can you configure for the computer on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties box? (Choose three.) A. The computer’s IP address B. The address of the default gateway C. The address of the preferred DHCP server D. The address...
I'd like you to review the security status for our small Microsoft workgroup LAN. The network consists of computers working on a variety of client platforms, such as Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7, and server products in a single environment. The workgroup contains many distinct separations in the network as determined by group memberships: Windows laptops: Traveling salespeople, remote suppliers, branch offices Windows desktops: Accounting group, developer group, customer service group Windows servers: Administrative server, Microsoft SharePoint server,...

Design a small network connected to the Internet. Five or six computers should be enough. Think about servers you might need, such as mail, web, dns, etc. What about a print server? How will you connect to the Internet? Will you use wireless? What about a firewall? You need to prepare a diagram that shows how everything is connected and write up a brief description of the diagram explaining what components you chose, why you chose it and what it...

In a computer network, a server receives requests from two computers (A and B) working independently. In a period of one hour, computers A and B send service requests distributed according to Poisson random variables with parameters 11 and 12, respectively. 1. What is the PMF of the total number of service requests received in one hour? 2. If we know that the total number of received service requests is n, what is the PMF of the roquets received from...
