Search marketing strategies must involve corporate analysis including customers and marketplace. It also requires such strategies that maintains a balance between truth and persuading customers.

Ways in which morals and ethics can be maintained in marketing strategies are:

1. Different options- once the basic idea is generated different options or alternatives must be devised. Out of those alternative improper and illegal choices must be removed.
2. Evaluation- cost benefit analysis of the the remaining alternative should be done. It may include reviewing of credibility of the sources, panning out solid facts and theories.
3. Choosing an alternative- while choosing an alternative the least harming option or the option which helps the most must be selected. This must be done only after detailed evaluation only.
4. Tracking the effects-implementing is not the end, what effects does the chosen alternative has brought must be monitored. Sometimes it is possible that the implemented alternative is not as suitable as predicted. In order to attract customers along with the intention of of maintaining ethics in marketing strategies changes in earlier strategies should be done.
