neutron proton ratio above the belt of stability means it has the neutron rich nuclei so it undergoes the beta particle and becomes the lower the neutron and increases the proton number so it undergoes the beta decay

polonium 212 to lead 208 i.e it is as follows

Po-212 to   Pb-208 i.e decrease 4 units in mass number and also the atomic number for Po is 84 and the Pb is 82

so 2 units decrease in atomic number and the 4 units decrease in the mass number and this type of is called as ALPHA Decay
