In actuality, the coffee mug is quiet bigger than the wrist watch dial.
but the first pic gives an illusion of having seen the wrist watch bigger than the coffee mug.
This is because the object which is very close to the camera lens looks bigger than the background elements. The relative size of the objects are not actual.
But, if you see the second picture, I have placed both the
objects (the watch and the coffee mug) at the same distance from
the camera lens. This is providing the actual relative size of the
objects in the picture. This is a clear depiction of size constancy
case.
