what is difference whether IR beam hits clear or colored areas? My IR spectrums are a bit different when I prepared same sample, but different colors.
I'm asking this question in general term, how does color make changes in IR spectrum,? Does color really matter?

Color do not make any change in infrared spectrum because infrared light is not visible to the human eye. Infrared spectrum has a range of wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum that are outside the range of wavelengths that produce a chemical response from the cones in our retinas. Therefore, it looks like black in color. The color image in infrared spectrum in known as the false color image, which is obtained due to the rendering of wavelength of visible light with the corresponding range of wavelengths in the infrared spectrum.
