Researchers hypothesized that birds in flight might be better able to avoid accidentally colliding with

windows that were placed at an angle rather than positioned vertically. To test this, windows were

placed at the edge of a forest. Half the windows were vertical and half were tilted at an angle. During

the course of the experiment, 45 birds collided with windows, but only 14 collisions involved the tilted

windows. Does this experiment provide evidence at α = 0.05 that tilting windows significantly reduces

the probability of a bird collision
