Explain the concept of randomized controlled trials, and Assess the usefulness of randomized controlled trials in measuring program impact.
a) Randomized controlled trials. This is a type of scientific experiments in which the aim is to reduce the sources of bias when testing the effectiveness of new treatments. this is done by random allocation of subjects to two or more groups in which treatment is given differently& then compared with respect to a measured response.
b) the RCT must be generally planned from tine very beginning of the program & its participation must be cautiously watched keeping the experiment in mind. generally they are useful for programs that has a clear& measurable impacts that can be attributed to distinct set of interventions.for example we can take the reform program in an organization where the policies for worker pay can be developed through a RCT where there is different incentive packages within the workers.

I need some to answer these questions. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) are a form of an experiment that is used to establish the efficacy of new interventions. We don't generally conduct such RCTs when either introducing or modifying HIT systems. My question above relates to how much of a problem do you believe this to be and what do you believe we should do about it (if anything) when considering HIT evaluation?

The Abecedarian Project is a randomized controlled study to assess the effects of intensive early childhood education on children who were at high risk based on several sociodemographic indicators. The project randomly assigned some children to a treatment group that was provided with early educational activities before kindergarten and the remainder to a control group. A recent follow-up study interviewed subjects at age 30 and evaluated educational, economic, and socioemotional outcomes to learn if the positive effects of the program...

7. Ethical standards for randomized, controlled clinical trials include never testing drugs which have not been proven to be completely safe. not asking subjects to agree to participate without first informing them of the nature of the study and possible risks and benefits. ensuring that each subject knows which treatment he or she received. allowing subjects to decide whether or not to be in the control group. all of these. 8. Which of the following is not a requirement for...
