The conscious mind is a logical component whereas the irrational component can be contributed to the subconscious mind while taking into account the behavior that an individual would exhibit. For example, when certain incidents which were unpleasant are brought up, we may have loss of control over our emotions and treat others sourly regardless of the context which is due to the subconscious effect on our conscious behavior. Although this a conscious behavior,the subconscious mind plays a major role. In addition to this, there are examples such as in the case of harrassment, where an individual who has fallen victim as a child shows social withdrawal and guarded personality in later life, which is due to the aspect in the past that was stored and impacted in our subconscious mind. Although one has free will in their actions, subconscious mind determines how we consciously perform them.
