1. identify and describe the various ways that gender, race, culture, sexuality, nationality, and/or classification psychological disorders have influences the dynamics of this situation.
2. What would you advise is the appropriate course of action address this situation?
1. Trevor being a male is exhibiting disinterest in traditional male activities, here is a gender difference concern. Probably the boy is facing racial discrimination and that is one of the reason for his behavior. Difference in the mental functioning as compared to that of a male may be attributed to biological, cultural influences and parental pressure to behave like boys may be leading to aggression in the child. Also, not seeing a psychotherapist on time and self treatment through the way of punishment and control techniques seems to have worsen the situation over time.
2. The appropriate course of action is to immediately stop self treatment by parents and immediate contact with a psychotherapist.
