Answer #1

Should newspapers and other media have stories about the effects of these drugs?

Yes, newspapers and other media must cover such stories in order to create public awareness. People must be made aware of the possible dangers in using these kinds of drugs. Drug use especially something like glue sniffing may appear innocent or not that harmful at the outset, and also it may be much more prevalent in the general population than expected. So, publishing stories in the media and detailing the harmful effects of these drugs on physical, psychological and mental levels can deter people from continuing using them.

Do these stories result in increased use of these drugs?

There may be an initial upsurge, as people would be curious to try it out for themselves, but gradually the usage of the drugs would start to dip given to the awareness created by media.
