Cleopatra was an Egyptian Queen and co-ruler of Egypt who became famous for her involvement with Julius Caesar and Mark Antony in pursuit of power and dominance. Cleopatra had an affair with Julius Caesar when he fled to Egypt in search of his enemy Pompey, whom the Egyptian had already persecuted. Cleopatra was Julius Caesar's lover, the relationship was a political ally too. While Caesar wanted the vast army of Egypt for his dominance and power, Cleopatra wanted the support of Caesar to keep up her power play in Egypt. Marc Anthony entered Cleopatra's life after Julius Caesar was assassinated. Marc Antony was inquesting the role of Cleopatra in Julius Caesar's assassination when he met Cleopatra. He was stuck by the beauty and intelligence of Cleopatra, and she saw the potentialities of Marc Antony as a powerful ally to prevent Egypt becoming a vassal to Rome. This mutual interest lead to intimate relationship and marriage, and finally ended in suicide of both. In this manner, Cleopatra played a vital role in both Julius Caesar and Marc Antony's stories.
