Explanation:

Yes, discrimination against a person based on his/her sexual orientation is prohibited by Title VII. As per the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title VIII, federal law prohibits employers to discriminate against employees based on their sexual orientation, race, religion, color, origin, ethnicity. EEOC give equal chances to all candidate apply for the job based on their qualifications. This law applies to companies where employees number is more than 15 and that includes federal and state governments also.
