A person graduating with a bachelors is hoping to be a business executive someday. How far above or below the average years of education is he/she? A person graduating with a bachelors has completed 16 years of education. So he/she is .95 years below average years of education of business executives. In terms of standard deviation units he/she is 0.95/2.3 ~= 0.41 standard deviation units below the average years of education of business executives.
