A smart speaker has no screen or keypad for changing its
settings. Order three steps to configure the speaker.
a. Connect the smartphone to the speaker's Wi-Fi hotspot.
b. Download the speaker's app to a smartphone.
c. Enter the password to the home Wi-Fi network.
d. Enter the password to the speaker's Wi-Fi hotspot.
The steps to configure the speaker are
a) Enter the password to the home Wi-Fi
network.
To configure the speaker with your smartphone, you need a
connection and interface between your phone and the speaker. the
interface will be a Smartphone application which will be available
in the internet. so to download the app, you need to connect your
phone to home wi-fi network by entering its password
b) Download the speaker's app to a
smartphone.
Download the speaker's smartphone app from internet, the speaker
manufacturer will be providing this through their website or other
websites. The application will be having options like changing the
volume, changing the tracks etc..; so it works like a remote so
that you can control the speaker with your smartphone using this
app. now you need to open this app and connect your speaker through
it
c) Connect the smartphone to the speaker's Wi-Fi
hotspot.
When the speaker is switched on, it creates a wi fi access point
for devices to connect. Now from the app options, search for the
wifi networks on your smartphone and you'll see the wi fi hotspot
of the speaker in the available wi fi list. connect to this
network, so that automatically you will be disconnected from the
home wi fi network. since the app is downloaded we don't need the
internet anymore.
d) Enter the password to the speaker's Wi-Fi
hotspot.
While your smartphone tries to connect to the speaker's hotspot, a
password will be asked to enter; this password can be found in the
user manual of the speaker. The password makes sure that only
whoever knows this password can connect to the phone; otherwise in
a open wi fi hotspot anyone can connect and play anything in your
speaker. so enter the password which provided by the manufacturer
so your smartphone will get connected to the speaker's wi fi
network. so that now you are able to open the speaker app in the
phone and you can control your speaker using your smartphone.
Earlier times, wireless speakers were build using bluetooth
technology, but it was having so many disadvantages like, less
connectivity distance, less speed etc.. Wi-Fi enabled speakers are
more faster and they are having more connectivity distance and many
devices can connect to the speaker at same time.
