Work life programs relate with the work – life balance of an employee who can deal with work related stress and look forward to balance his or her personal life and related demands. Many organization offer work life programs in terms an employee can take paid or unpaid leaves for the child care, elderly care, and all those activities which needs support from the organization to take care of the family needs. This would help an employee to be supportive of his or her family and remain productive at workplace. Organizations offer various options for employee work life balance with the help of having flexible timings for work, saving on their free time so that they can use their time productively. It has been observed in the researches that to some extent employees get away from the work stress and lesser conflict at workplace. Some of the challenges in developing and using work life programs are probable disgraces which employee make use of. It is very much required by an employer to understand the whole purpose of having these programs rather for the namesake. It is also required to be understood by the employer the ways these programs are executed so that it should enhance the employee productivity at workplace. Managers should also understand the need of the same to help their team members who are in need and should downgrade their employee’s performance appraisal just because they made use of the work life balance policies. Thus, it is very much important that the work life balance programs should fulfill the need of the workforce along with their families.
