10.11- Explain four different means of achieving a rotating field effect in an induction motor stator.

*****4 different methods are :
1) Use time displaced input voltages and space displaced 3 phases coils placed in stator creates RMF or the rotating magnetic field . This setup creates a Rotating fluxes or field that is 120° displaced electrically and when it interacts with short circuited rotor , rotation starts .(in 3 phase induction motor)
2) Using Phase Splitting by using Resistances , in which single phase is splitted into two phases displaced electrically !! (In 1 phase induction motor )
3)Using phase splitting by using Capacitor , in which 90° 2- phase splitting is achieved and hence Rotating magnetic field is achieved .(in 1 phase induction motor)
4)Using shading coil or Copper rings that cause shaded portion over the stator to lag behind from the unshaded portion , hence a phase difference of 90° is achieved causing a RMF field to originate !!
