Part (a): A photographic camera works on the principle of refraction of light. The light refracted when passing through the lens and formed a photograph. Answer: (A) Refraction

Part (b): When Diffraction takes place it causes the lens in a camera to work less than perfect (e.g. blurred image). That means due to diffraction a photograph grows progressively less sharp. Answer: (B) Diffraction.
