What indicator do you have that an interface with an IPv6 address assigned is operational?
ANS : Internet Protocol Version 6 address (IPv6 address) is a numerical label , used to identify network interface of a computer in an IP6 Network and for locating it in the network. IP addresses are transmitted in the fields of the packet header to indicate the source and the destination of each network packet.
IPv6 addresses are classified by the primary addressing and routing methodologies common in networking as under below :
A) unicast address
B) anycast address
C) multicast address
Unicast address identifies a single network interface. The Internet Protocol delivers packets sent to a unicast address to that specific interface.
Anycast address is assigned to a group of interfaces, usually belonging to different nodes. A packet sent to an anycast address is delivered to just one of the member interfaces, typically the nearest host, according to the routing protocol's definition of distance. Anycast addresses cannot be identified easily, they have the same format as unicast addresses, and differ only by their presence in the network at multiple points. Almost any unicast address can be employed as an anycast address.
Multicast address is also used by multiple hosts, which acquire the multicast address destination by participating in the multicast distribution protocol among the network routers. A packet that is sent to multicast is delivered to all interfaces that have joined the corresponding multicast group. IPv6 does not implement broadcast addressing.
What are five steps to load a boot sequence?
ANS : These are the five steps to load a boot sequence as below :
1) Power UP : First step of any boot process are applying power to the machine. When user turns a computer on, a series of events begins that ends when the operating system gets control from the boot process and the user is free to work. When the computer is turn on, the processor executes some code in ROM , located on the motherboard.
2) Power on self test(POST) : The 2nd step in the boot sequence is called the POST, . This test checks all connected hardware, including RAM and secondary storage devices to be sure it is all functioning properly. After POST has completed its job, the boot process searches the boot device list for a device with a BIOS on it.
3) Find a boot device : As we know that the I/O system is essential to the operation of the computer because it defines the rules for communications between the CPU and the other devices attached to the computer via the motherboard. The I/O system, sometimes found in the "io.sys" file on the boot device, provides extensions to the BIOS located in ROM on the motherboard.
4) Load the operating system : In this step of boot sequence, Once the hardware functionality is confirmed and the input/output system is loaded, the boot process begins loading the operating system from the boot device. The OS is loaded into RAM, and any instructions specific to the particular operating system are executed. The actual operating system is somewhat irrelevant, as the computer will follow the same boot pattern in any case.
5) Transfer Control : In this 5th steps of boot sequence, Once immidiate the previous steps are complete and the operating system is safely loaded into RAM, the boot process relinquishes control to the OS. The OS then proceeds to execute any pre-configured startup routines to define user configuration or application execution. At the end of the handoff, the computer is ready for use.

Explain the difference between a routing table and MAC address table ?
ANS : The main difference between a routing table and MAC Address table as under below :
Routing tables contain network addresses and the associated interface or nexthop. This refers to ip route and ip rule (in a Linux context). MAC addresses learned in its tables so it knows which ports to send the traffic through.
