In that case Dwight and Guillermo should take a moment to calm their feelings. They should ask themselves, Whether they deserve a raise? If the answer is yes, inform their boss to fix a time so that they can discuss their salary. They should always be specific about the topic of the meeting so that it will not take time for their boss to understand the matter.


Secondly, it is not good to mention specific names or salaries of other person. This meeting is only between they and their boss, so they should focus on their performance and the value they add to the company. They should just explain their hard working, experience and the value that they are adding to the company, also ask their boss what can they do to get a significant increment.


Thirdly, they should always approach their boss being prepared with market data. They should be prepared with information about their rank and the rank above and below their so that they can discuss their growth potentiality in a detailed manner. After that if they feel that they are deserving workers who receive a very low salary, explain their thoughts to their boss.


Finally, they should not feel disappointed when their boss says no, instead ask him what exactly to do to get an increased compensation. They should not stay in the same company when they found that their company is not going to increase their salary. Start searching jobs as soon as possible. It may be stressful and time-taking, but they will definitely get a good job with high salary.
