The new ASC leasing standard issued in 2016 now require organizations that lease assets or lessees to recognize assets and liabilities on their balance sheets for leases with lease terms of more than 12 months. How do you think this will impact the leasing business?

There will be impact on the balance sheet since short term leasea( less than 12 months) will not be account for,however no imapct will be on income statement.

Capitalisation of few indirect shall be effected under the new norms.

Expense like property tax and insurance shall be exclude from calculation of minimum lease payments.

Under new norms transfer of asset is compulsory in case of sale

Financial disclosure norms will be more under the new guidelines.
