How to output/print an integer that was initially inputted by the user, but later on modified by a function.

E.g. //Say the user entered an integer. int x; cin>>x; x=x+12; cout<<x; //then i want to output what the user had originally entered. cout<< "The number you had initially/originally entered was: <<x <<endl;
