Answer #1

At Point A :

Since the two wires carry equal current and are equidistant from the point A, they both produce same amount of magnetic field at A.

Using right hand rule, magnetic field by the wire carrying current along the x-axis comes out to be in outward direction.at Point A.

Using right hand rule, magnetic field by the wire carrying current along the y-axis comes out to be in inward direction.at Point A.

Since the directions of the two magnetic fields are opposite, the total magnetic field at A comes out to be zero

at Point B :

Since the two wires carry equal current and are equidistant from the point B, they both produce same amount of magnetic field at B.

Using right hand rule, magnetic field by the wire carrying current along the x-axis comes out to be in inward direction.at Point B.

Using right hand rule, magnetic field by the wire carrying current along the y-axis comes out to be in inward direction.at Point B.

Since the directions of the two magnetic fields is same (inward), the total magnetic field at B comes out to be in inward direction.
