In any company, transportation is a key element because the transportation of materials and staff is inevitable. Transportation job responsibilities vary primarily depending on the transportation company. The transportation department is usually headed by a transportation director who is responsible for the administrative duties. He co-ordinates departmental tasks and supervises other employees. The director also ensures that all operations that are carried out and the vehicles comply with transport laws.

The routing coordinator is another important person doing important transportation job responsibilities. He provides schedules for routing, and what is to be delivered where. He is responsible for either delivering or dropping drivers away.

Transportation job responsibilities include also those of a transport secretary who makes a day-to-day activity plan. This includes planning workforce training. The transport staff is also responsible for making an inventory for the agency. Transport staff follows up on purchases by the agency and draft purchase orders. Also, the Secretary is required to keep a fleet record. She is also responsible for the payment of any expenses incurred during the term of duty by transport personnel. Her principal responsibility is to support the activities of the director.

I'm commuting by city bus or private taxi to my office. So nearly every weekday I interact with the city bus driver, city bus driver as well as private cab drivers. Private cab drivers are relatively professional and polite. City bus drivers and drivers often behave a bit rudely towards the passengers.
