Critical thinking involves choosing actions and coming to conclusions based on deductive and inductive arguments. Many critical thinking texts are critical of divine command theory because they see it as a form of the appeal to authority or appeal to tradition fallacy. These same texts are critical of any form of relativism because they see it as suggesting anything goes. Surely, they suggest some things can be argued through inductive or deductive reasoning to be better than others. Finally, critical thinking is supposed to be about thinking not emotions. According to emotivism, ethical values and judgments are the part of our psychological behavior or more precisely the emotional feelings and expressions. The philosophy of command theory and morality is complementary, we love to live a moral life but our fundamental instincts control our behavior every time, always try to balance morality with needs and develop different perspectives of morality and attitudes.
The idea of command theory, emotivism, and relativism is a justification of our thoughts and needs, we work to develop different ideologies but the base of these idealistic values passes through the innate behavioral connections.
