Question: Assume you are owner of restaurant explain. Do you get a lot of vehicle or foot traffic passing by? Is your target customer type heavily represented in your neighborhood's demographics?

Answer: Being a restaurant owner poses its own set of challenges for an entrepreneur. Usually the customers which constitute a major volume of total sales are coming on foot as most of them are from around the neighborhood. The target customer to which our restaurant caters is covered in the nearby locality and hence most of the customers which we get is foot traffic.

Being an Indian curry restaurant the target audience is mainly Asian customers along with some of the natives who want to try a new variety for their taste pallets and hence the positioning of the restaurant is a major constituent in driving sales. The neighborhood in which the restaurant is situated is one wherein there is mostly Asian crown and hence the target customers are not far off. This enables restaurant to not only have a good reach and decent penetration but also word of mouth helps in spreading the word around and as majority of customer’s can simply walk over to have a decent meal and have some good time with family and friends. This gives our restaurant an edge over the compaction wherein the customer probably needs to drive thereby essentially saving them driving and parking hassles.
