One of the unique features of Singapore educational system is
the requirement of bilingualism for all its students. Singaporeans
are educated in the common language of English but are also
required to be well versed in a designated ‘mother tongue’ Do you
feel that the policy has been sufficiently adaptable over the
decades to meet the changing social and economic needs of
Singapore?

Singapore has adapted this English language to earn their livelihood or to enlarge their economy in this world of globalisation ,they had adopted the language so well that it becomes one of their official language.This policy is relevant and on the same side beneficial to those who do trading ,the people who visit there ,the people who come for studies. Accordingly there is no need to modify it they already had adopted the policy sufficiently ,the prime purpose to adopt this is their multisocial environment and to improve their economic and social needs ,the bilingual policy has done it all very efficiently.One more important aspect related to this policy is that instead they had fully adopted the English language but they learned their "mother tongue " as to give respect to cultural heritage .
