Answer #1

acidic buffer is formed by weak acid and its conjugate base

basic buffer is formed by weak base and its conjugate acid

Option 1:

NH3 and NaOH are both base.

So, they cant form buffer

Option 2:

KI is neutral and NaI is also neutral salt.

So, they cant form buffer

Option 3:

HClO is weak acid.

NaClO is its conjugate base.

They will form acidic buffer

Option 4:

HNO3 is strong acid and KNO3 is neutral salt.

So, they cant form buffer

Option 5:

Ca(OH)2 is strong base and CaCl2 is neutral salt.

So, they cant form buffer

Answer: option 3
