What discontinuous innovations have you seen since 2014? What's next in your opinion?
Discontinuous innovations cause a paradigm shift in science or technology and/or the market structure of an industry.
Some of the recent discontinuous innovations are Samsung Gear VR for bringing virtual reality to the masses, introduction of electric cars, sneaker technology designed for people with disabilities, prosthetic hand that can generate a sense of touch etc.
The next discontinuous innovations would be introduction of smart cars for public use, or compact nuclear fusion reactor, foldable touch mobile phones etc.
