Gidget signs a contract wherein she will pay her local beauty salon $10 per week to braid her hair each week. When Gidget signed the contract her hair was very, very, very long. Two days after signing the contract Gidget falls asleep and her husband cuts off both her braids right at the scalp. He was annoyed because Gidget was tossing and turning in her sleep. Every time she tossed or turned, one of her braids smacked him in the head. After this happened Gidget's hair is much too short to be braided. If Gidget is able to get out of her contract if will be due to:
a. commercial impracticability.
b. subjective impossibility.
c. objective impossibility.
d. frustration of purpose.
e. braid frustration.
c. Objective impossibility is the reason because of which Gidget is able to get out of her contract. As Gidget’s hair is much too short to be braided, and hence the contractual obligation could not actually be performed.
