When resting, a person has a metabolic rate of about 3.0 105 joules per hour. The person is submerged neck-deep into a tub containing 1.21*103 kg of water at 21.60° C. If the heat from the person goes only into the water, find the water temperature after half an hour.

When resting, a person has a metabolic rate of about 4.93×105 joules per hour. The person is submerged neck-deep into a tub containing 1060 kg of water at 25.11oC. If the heat from the person goes only into the water, by how much will the water temperature increase after 42 minutes of immersion?
When resting, a person has a metabolic rate of about 6.63 x 10^5joules per hour. The person is submerged neck-deep into a tub containing 4.20 x 10^3kg of water at 27.0 °C. If the heat from the person goes only into the water, find the water temperature in degrees Celsius after half an hour.
Exercise 5: I was changing 34 around too much that I just made it a separate exercise. Suppose 310. grams of ethanol (ethyl alcohol) is in an aluminum cup of 90.0 grams. Both of these are at 30.0C. A mass m of ice at - 8.5C is taken from a freezer and added to the alcohol in the cup. The final temperature of all the components is 18.0C. Assuming no heat was lost from the system, calculate the mass m...
Prelab questions 1,2, and 3 and Part E questions Also, write a flowchart of the experiments process in each part. EXPERIMENT 3 DETERMINATION OF Δo The d orbitals of a metal ion in an octahedral ligand or crystal field are split into a higher energyset (eg) and a lower energy set (t2g) as shown in the following energy level diagram. 11 The energy difference between the upper and lower energy levels is Δo, the octahedral crystal field splitting. The degree...

For the preparation and standardization of NaOH with KHP im supposed to boil water for 1hr and 30 min to remove CO2....the problem is that if I don't boil it for that long and (30 min) b/c of not enough time but I put the water I boiled for 1/2 hr aproximately into a NaOH bottle with a CO2 absorber and stored it there for a few days. I would assume that I would have to boil the water again...but...
