Synchronization delay: After a site leaves the Critical Section (CS), it is the time required and before the next site enters the CS

The performance of a distributed system is measured on the basis of system throughput.

System throughput S ( rate at which the system executes requests for the CS ) is calculated using Synchronization delay (SD) as shown below:
