Instead of driving to the office each day, would you consider a remote / online / telecommuting job? Why or why not? What benefits does a remote job have? What draw backs might it have? Give a brief reflection discussing your thoughts on remote work vs. traditional on site work.
Firstly we will consider traditional on-site work.
In this traditional on-site job, we need to travel to the working site daily. It is time-consuming and will face any health issues by travelling to the office if the office is so long from our home. And if the work is very heavy we need to spend time more in the office. By this, we will feel very stress full in doing work. By long distances, we have to spend more money on travelling.
And if we are very not interested in formal dresses we will un-comfortable. We need to have lunch in the office itself or else we need to carry our food. If it is not possible to carry our food we need to have lunch at restaurants, by this, we need to spend more on food. And it is also not good for our health. Food from home is healthy food.
And if you are not interested in surrounding people the office is not a correct place. Because the office is full of people.
And if you are a girl it is dangerous if we are working in night shifts.
These are the cons of on-site work.
Let's discuss the pros of on-site work.
We will learn more in doing on-site work. Because if find difficulties or if you have any doubts in work we will find solutions by asking colleagues. And meetings with new also a fun thing. It is a different environment in doing on-site work. We will meet new people, new environment. Parties with friends and a lot more.
Let's discuss the pros of the remote job.
Firstly we can work at home. Home is a great place for us. We don't need to get up early for office and irritating in traffic. For a remote job, we need a laptop with an internet connection or mobile if our job is telecommunication. We can whatever we want, we can do work at any time. we can sleep at any time, but we need to complete the work in time. We can save more by doing a remote job. Like we can in travelling, going to restaurants.
So doing a remote is very comfortable.
cons of a remote job
1. We fill communication issues like bad internet connection. Talking to a person directly is different from talking to a person on a phone or any video calls.
2. Some remote jobs are fake. They will give advertisements like we give more salary by doing less work. So beware of fake companies.
3. We face payment issues in a remote job. So we need to work in trustworthy companies.
4. We need to use our laptops or mobiles for our work.
5. And if we have doubts or difficulty in our work, no one is available for help. We can by video calls or mobiles we can solutions from people who are working for the company. But is a somewhat difficult thing.
My suggestion is doing a remote job is great. Because we can work at home. We do all the pros of working from a remote location. And we need to find a trustworthy company. If we find a trustworthy company it is great.
