Answer #1

The pros of this approach is that

  • The training designers will get straight forward feedback from the trainees and will be able to improve upon the training style/approach.
  • The feedback will likely be unbiased and the view of the end user is valuable feedback
  • It is possible to reach nearly 100% audiences through this method of evaluation

The cons of this approach is that

  • The trainees usually doesn’t know the efficacy of the training till much later. Hence their idea of good training may not be the correct one.
  • Trainees may not be invested enough to provide complete feedback after the training is done. They will likely see less value in it for themselves
  • It is possible that the trainees will misunderstand the questions in the questionnaire
