a. Life Estate

Life Estate is a type of free hold which doesn't amount to ownership since it is limited by a term of life, it may be related to life of the individual on whom the right is vested or some other person, after the death of person the right will be back with the previous owner. In this case Joe is given Estate for life so it will last till his life lasts.
