mber the central question - which major, business or engineering, will give the better ROI? For each of the 2 majors, conduct a full hypothesis test at the 10% significance level: The mean ‘Cost’ for a college is $160,000. 2. For Business versus Engineering majors conduct a full, two-sample, full hypothesis test at the 5% significance level (assume the variances are not equal):The average ’30-Year ROI’ for Business majors is less than for Engineering Majors. 3.  In a highlighted box,...

Describe the differences between paper chromatography and TLC. Give two advantages and two disadvantages of each method for analysis.              In order to prepare for a column chromatography separation of 3 ink dye components, you have run a TLC experiment with three possible solvent mixtures. These are the results: Acetone:Hexane in 1:1 ratio gave the following distances: solvent=4.2cm, pigment #1=3.8cm, pigment #2=1.7cm, and pigment #3=1.3cm Acetone:Hexane in 2:1 ratio gave the following distances: solvent=4.3cm, pigment #1=3.8cm, pigment #2=2.1cm, and pigment...

    (b) Suppose you are designing a search aggregator, which for a given query fetches search results from two different search engines and presents an intersection of the two search results. Here is a simplified version of this problem: Given two sorted integer arrays of lengths m and n, return a new array with elements that are present in both input arrays. The input array may contain duplicates, but there should be no duplicates in the output array. For example, if...

This belief is tested by having 10 students commute to school by each mode of transportation and recording the time of arrival at school each morning. A coin flip was used to determine which type of transportation that a student would use first. Results indicated that there was...
