An ice skating show is planning a big stunt to be performed in Baxter Arena, and you have been asked to consult on the safety of the show. In this particular stunt, an ice skater skates down an ice covered ramp onto a horizontal ice covered platform. The ramp is 5 feet in height above the platform. The platform is 5 feet over the ground-level surface of the ice rink. After coming down the ramp, the skater will fly off the side of the platform, over a burning fire, and land on the floor of the ice rink. In order to not be burned, the skater must land 5 feet from the base of the platform. Will the skater make it this distance?
