What is meant by "Favorable" and "Unfavorable" reactions/interactions in Chemistry, relating to Gibbs Free Energy? I'm not sure I really understand this concept too well.

A favorable reaction is one that can occur spontaneously, that is, without changing the reagent conditions. An unfavorable reaction is the opposite.

When calculating the Gibbs free energy of a system to determine its spontaneity and this is less than 0, it means that the reaction occurs spontaneously. On the other hand, if it is greater than 0, it does not occur spontaneously.
