12 Angry men is a classic to explain the importance of reasonable doubt. The jury was presented with reasonable doubt to doubt the accused but it was not considered sufficient to prove the accused as guilty. There was lack of evidence to prove the guilt of the accused beyond a reasonable doubt. Initially the jury started voting with 11-1 in favor of the accused. However with deliberations and discussions, the jury voted 12-0 in favor of the accused being not guilty.
