You have a system of three masses, and you want the centre of mass to be ( 8.38 , 7.94, 6.88 ) where all the distances are in meters.

What is the z coordinate only of mass C to make this happen?

Mass A has a mass of 113 kilograms and has x y z  coordinates of 1.35 , 4.33 , 6.05 ?

Mass B has a mass of 582 kilograms and has x y z  coordinates of 7.93 , 1.86 , 5.4 ?

Mass C has a mass of 907 kilograms. Remember to give me the whole number only as this silly program cannot handle units or scientific notation easily. I am asking for the z coordinate only.

Answer #1

We know that center of mass of a system is

11021.76=683.65+3142.8+907z3

907z3=7195.31

z3=7.93

So whole number will be 8.
