  1. The current price of silver is $11 per ounce. Storage costs are 20 cents per ounce per year. Storage costs are payable in two installments, half today and half in six months. The six month interest rate is 4% and the one year rate is 5%.

a. Compute the futures price for a one ounce one year contract.

b. Six months from now the price of silver is now $15 an ounce. Interest rates are still the same. Compute the value of the forward contract now.
