Your lab group has been assigned the task of designing an experiment to investigate the effect of time spent studying on a recall task.

Both groups list the same five key words for five minutes. After the five minutes of listing their key words, each group is denied their study lists and lists of words for a total of ten minutes. Both groups are then asked to recall the 5 key words from their origional word list. We will have 3 experiments total. The first experiment will with each group writing the five key words out on a blank sheet of paper. The second experiment will hae them circle the five key words out of a word list of ten words. the last experiment will have each group circle the five key words out of a list of twenty words.

Identify the independent variable, dependent variable, floor effect, ceiling effect, type of manipulation, and type of measure

Intelligence of the student which cannot be manipulated and the memory of the student which can be manupulated are the dependent and independent variables respectively.

there is no floor or ceiling effect.

by not telling the whole story can be the type of manipulation
