Answer #1

Manager earns bonus of $140 for 10 different milestones he meets monthly.

20 hours of effort is required to achieve 10 different milestones in order to get bonus.

Manager has 160 hours of effort monthly to allocate to work each month.

Calculation

Manager to meet 160/20 = 8 sales milestones.

after that manager has no more hours to allocate. So, the manager will spend no time trying to meet the remaining 10-8 = 2 sales milestone.

In order to maximize the total monthly bonus, the manager should allocate 20 hours towards meeting each of 8 milestones and 0 hours towards meeting each of the remaining sales 2 sales milestones.
