What is the ethos, logos, and pathos of the 2019 super bowl commercial with Michael Bublé in it and what are two other rhetorical devices used in the commercial? Yes, I know this isn’t economics but there was no English subject but I’m desperate. :)

On the surface, the ethos, pathos and logos of the ad is simple. The credibility (ethos) is established by the immediate recognition of Michel Buble. The logic (logos) by Buble for the pronunciation of Bubly (the product) is justified by him pronouncing Dave’s name as Da-Ve. Finally his empathy (pathos) for people pronouncing the name of the packaged water wrong is displayed when he manually corrects the names on the water cans.

However, these are very visible ones and there are underlying message and intention from the advertisement.

First of all, many of us often suffer from dilemma or confusion about first nouns. This is where the advertisement connects with us (signifying pathos). The advertisement also shows that there are various ways of pronouncing a name (the battle between Buble and Bubly) and establishes a logic (logos). And considering that Michael Buble is a recognized personality for not only music but confusion regarding his surname, the credibility of the issue is established (ethos). Thus the message is that, irrespective of whether we pronounce it correctly or wrong, it is the same product – Bubly.
