Reflect on and discuss the following statement: Management of the organization means managing the interaction of the parts and not the “divide and conquer” theory of managing the parts and then summing a so-called understanding of the parts into an understanding of the whole--which has been typical of most American management and has led to what is called “silo management.”

Answer #1

It is highly true that management of the organization means managing the interaction of the parts because it will reduce discrimination in the organization. If any of the employee of an organisation feel marginalized or debarred from any main streamline then he will get dissatisfaction, cooperation and team work is very much important in order to gain high effectivity in the work done by the employees. Respect and appreciate employees by providing all equal opportunity to develop themselves so that they feel connected with the organization. Each and every employee should interact with each other so that a positive, coordinated and good environment of culture will be in the organization. A good management should be there in the organization so that it focuses on the development of the employees by focusing on their strength, if employees get develop then the whole organization get develop.

If divide and conquer theory will get applied then there will be millions of parts of a single organization and no one coordinate with each other, so much high competition environment will be there in the organization which will create a negative environment and also have adverse effects on the organization image. Silo management give reluctance to share information with employees at different levels or division. It reduces the efficiency of the organization and lead to its damage in the market.
